1. Whakataki Kaupapa

This project is located in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and provides a solar-plus-storage power supply solution for a plastic products factory. The factory mainly manufactures household plastic products and is an important local manufacturing enterprise.

However, the local utility grid is extremely unstable, with frequent power outages causing repeated production line shutdowns. These interruptions have seriously affected the factory’s normal manufacturing operations and its ability to deliver customer orders on time.

To address this power supply challenge, the customer adopted our 261 kWh solar energy storage system. Under normal grid conditions, the solar PV system and energy storage system operate together to supply power to the factory. When the utility grid suddenly fails, the system can seamlessly switch to solar-plus-storage power within milliseconds, ensuring uninterrupted operation of the factory’s equipment 24 hours a day.

This solution has effectively eliminated production interruptions caused by grid outages.

Whakamahinga 2.1

This project is a typical solar-plus-storage application for an industrial manufacturing facility.

As a continuous-production enterprise, the plastic products factory in the DRC requires an extremely reliable power supply. Conventional diesel generator solutions involve several disadvantages, including high noise levels, serious emissions, high fuel costs, and an unstable fuel supply.

The solar energy storage system enables a greater level of clean-energy self-sufficiency while providing seamless backup power during utility grid outages. This allows the factory to maintain uninterrupted production 24 haora i te ra, 7 nga ra i te wiki.
